Created shortly after my arrival in Canada, the blurred images reflect an uncertain relationship between self and surroundings. Framed by a mirrored self-portrait, the landscape becomes a space of negotiation where identity and place continuously shape one another. The triptych's structure of three was necessary to trace this movement from self, through environment, and back again.
