Artist Statement:

In this collection of work, there is a self-portrait of a woman whose lips are sealed by all the violence, insecurities, fears and angers that the society has imposed on her. Also, by covering herself and screaming from within, she is showing her daily resistance. However, there is a crazy strong girl within her that never gives up, and as long as she can make her screams into words, she has all the power she needs to defend herself. 

The anthem, the songs of praise and all the words written in the form of calligraphy-painting in this collection symbolize her freedom and the power of her words in the society. As long as she is expressing and creating her own words, she is free....
