Everyday Practice

These images are daily reminders of our lives.

To do so, I have portrayed myself as a symbol of every single person, adding objects and feelings in order to remind people of whatever we need to do on a daily basis in life.

This collection of work includes 30 images to symbolize one month of a year which can extended to the whole year as there are many tasks that we need to bring into our everyday practice and see how our life and accordingly other people’s lives will be influenced and the whole world may get a more peaceful and better place to live.

Realities of life have been always my main concern in my art practice no matter how much they are ignored, distorted or manipulated by many people. Generally, people are so busy with their routines that they usually forget to pay attention to every single thing they do on a daily basis. What I have desired to depict in these series of work is bringing nontypical habitual activities to the lists of tasks and responsibilities people do every day. This means I have tried to interrupt people while they are doing their daily tasks in order to remind them of uncommon but more important daily routine which needs to be crammed into their schedule every day. That is why each image has one specific caption motivating people to do a daily practice and also, I have used many unusual accessories contrary to all beautiful accessories that photographers use for their subjects in their studios. This is another way to show how manipulation can be used for a better result because all my uncommon accessories are coming from the life itself and I have worn or used everything we use on a daily basis but there are so evident that are always taken for granted by us.
